Every leftover piece tells a story….

There's a quiet moment that happens in every studio — when a garment is finished and the floor is scattered with katrans, those small fabric offcuts that don't make it onto the final piece. For a long time, I watched those scraps pile up and felt an unease I couldn't quite name. They were beautiful. Full of colour, texture, and the exact prints our customers already loved. And we were about to throw them away.

That unease is what started our fabric jewellery collection.

The idea was simple, almost obvious once it arrived: what if the scraps became something else? Not repurposed carelessly, but thoughtfully shaped into accessories that carry the same intention as the garments they came from. We began experimenting and the results surprised us. These weren't compromise pieces. They were genuinely beautiful in their own right.

What I love most about this collection is how honest it is. Each piece is made from surplus fabric, the prints that sold out, the colours our customers kept returning to, the textiles that had clearly already found their people. We're not sourcing new materials to make these. We're giving a second life to fabric that already existed, already had value, and deserved not to end up in a bin.

The making is entirely by hand. There's no shortcut in that process, and I wouldn't want one. Selecting which katrans to use, shaping each detail, deciding how a piece should sit and move. It all takes time, and that time is visible in the finished work. I think that's the point. In a world where most things are made as fast as possible, a handcrafted piece carries a different kind of weight.

We also wanted these to feel genuinely versatile, not just something you'd reach for with a kurta on a special occasion, but something you'd layer with a linen shirt on a Tuesday, or pair with a simple dress at the weekend. The fabric jewellery collection was designed to move between both worlds, because that's how most of us actually live.

This collection means more to me than almost anything else we've made. It came from a problem — waste and turned into something that feels like a clear expression of what Spring Soul is actually about. Not just sustainable in a broad, vague sense, but concretely: this fabric existed, we didn't waste it, and now it's on someone's neck instead of in a landfill.

Small choices, as we like to say. But small choices made with intention are how things actually change.
